Missy has served at Living Word since 1997 and joined our staff in 2009. Missy loves to teach kiddos about Jesus and even more so, how they can serve Him. She has taught children of all ages, here in the States and on the mission fields of Honduras and Hungary. She was also a Christian school teacher for 8 years. She works with Child Evangelism Fellowship as a teacher of 5-day Clubs during the summer and Good News clubs in the local public schools during the school year.

Missy received her BA from Trinity College in Dunedin, Florida. Her major was Biblical Studies with a minor in Christian Education and Missions. She holds a teaching certificate with the Evangelical TeacherTraining Association (ETTA). She is also on the Mission Board at Living Word.

Missy is married to Larry and they have 2 daughters, Laura and Ashley.

Favorite hobby/pass time: Hike in the woods with my family, play with my dog, and follow the Operation Migration Whooping Cranes

Favorite verse of the Bible: Proverbs 17:22, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

Favorite thing about Living Word Church: We have very loving people who really care about each other.  We are a very missions-minded church.
