Pastor Brad has been the lead pastor of Living Word Church since September of 2010 having previously served in the city of New Orleans before and after Hurricane Katrina, and Springfield, Ohio. He loves to preach the Word of God and has full confidence in its power to transform lives! Pastor Brad is a history buff, enjoys reading, travelling, golfing ( a real hack! ) playing the drums on a Praise Team occasionally and spending time with his wife Julie who is his best friend and life’s mate. Julie and Pastor Brad are the parents of 2 sons, Matt (married to Anjuli) and Adam (married to Alissa) and the proud grandparents of Jackson, Russell, Evie, and Frankie all of whom reside in Ohio. Pastor Brad has a crazy goal to be on all 7 continents and in all 50 states. The 50 states are now completed! 2 continents to go, but Julie refuses to go with him to Antarctica.

Pastor Brad was born in Ottumwa, Iowa (Yes, Radar O'Reilly, M.A.S.H.) but moved out west as a kid and grew up in Colorado seeing Pikes Peak every morning and loving the aspens in the fall!

Pastor Brad received his B.A. (Bible/Theology) from Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, Th.M (Hebrew/Old Testament) from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana and earned his doctorate, from Dallas Theological Seminary, in May of 2001. He loves missions and has been on missions trips to Germany, England and South Africa, while leading a global vision church, sending members to serve, and supporting 25 missionary families.

Role at Living Word Church: Lead Pastor

Date started on staff: September, 2010

Quote to live by: “Earth's crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God; but only for the one who takes off his shoes, the rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.”  -Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Favorite Restaurant: Toss up, Commander's Palace, New Orleans, Garden District, or Bern's Steakhouse, Tampa. Oh, and Bon Appetite in Dunedin right on the gulf, especially when the dolphins are swimming in the bay!  Lobster rolls are great!

Favorite Sports Team: The Denver Broncos! (From Marlin Briscoe to Trevor Siemian!)

Favorite food: Crab legs with tons of butter and lemon, and a bib! Stand back, body parts will be flying!

Random facts about me: I have been in 7 car accidents, but only one was my fault. It was icy. I lived in 13 different houses before graduation from High School.

Worst movie: Any and all chick flicks!

For fun I like to: Travel off the beaten path and learn anything about everything there! Golf, read, listen to music (Classical, Christian, and Jazz)

What I love about Living Word Church: The heart we have for missions, the passion we have for the Word of God as our only authority for faith and practice, and the ministries we offer for the whole family.
